The makers of one of my favorite apps, Animation Desk, are now providing us with a new development they hope will become the “one and only PDF app you will ever need on your iPad.”
Kdan Mobile is proud to introduce PDF Connoisseur which promises to provide all of the PDF functionality that you could ever want, including Save to PDF, Text-to-Speech(TTS), PDF form filling, file transfer, annotation, file scanning. And for those of you who have been asking me for an app that incorporates PDF form-filling and opening password-protected files, this should be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
Boasting a fast rendering speed, this app is compatible with iWork files (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) and Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) plus image and web pages. The Text-to-Speech functionality operates in English, French and German and allows you to read out selections or entire documents.
The most sought-after feature in mobile readers is the ability to annotate the files you are reading including highlighting, underlining and adding strike-out markers. PDF Connoisseur takes this one step further by allowing free-hand drawing (think of how easy it will be to add your signature to things) and the addition of lines, circle, arrow, and square shapes.
Adding to the versatility of this app is the ability to grab your files from a variety of locations including cloud storage devices such as Dropbox, iDisk, GoogleDocs, Box.net, FTP and WebDAV Client.
